The Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, Co is a great place to learn about the history of aviation and space travel. It’s located in airplane hangers on the former Lowry Air Force Base in eastern Denver.

The museum has more than 182,000 square feet of exhibit space and is home to an extensive collection of aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts and military uniforms. The collection includes bombers from World War II, reconnaissance aircraft and commercial jets.

More than 50 iconic aircraft and space vehicles are on display at the museum, and you can even take part in exciting flight simulator experiences! The museum also has a large technical research library that houses over 15,000 books on aerospace and aviation.

It’s also the official air and space museum for Colorado, so you can be sure to find plenty of information about aviation and space endeavors in this historic facility!

Founded in 1994, the museum is located on the grounds of Lowry Air Force Base. It preserves the history of Lowry AFB’s operations from 1938 to 1994 in its collections, archives and research library.

Admission to the Wings Over the Rockies Air &Space Museum costs $19 for adults and $12 for children ages 4 to 16. There are discounts and deals available online for additional savings.

The museum also has a number of educational programs that are designed to educate and inspire people of all ages. They include cockpit demonstrations, summer camps and guided tours. In addition, the museum is home to a teacher flight program that provides teachers with free entry tickets for their students.
