The park development was designed with an emphasis on a natural, sustainable approach to development. The project incorporated site runoff management to sustain a naturally irrigated corridor while providing water quality treatment and detention for stormwater.
It also features a mix of natural materials and landforms to illustrate the complex processes occurring within the site. It includes a playground and water feature inspired by the site’s sand dune geomorphology that was designed to stimulate interest through play.
