The Denver Broncos are now calling Empower Field at Mile High their home. It’s located on 1701 Bryant Street in Denver, Colorado and has a seating capacity of 76,125. The stadium is also used for other sporting events, including rugby and soccer.

The newly renamed Empower Field at Mile High was named after a Greenwood Village-based financial-services company that purchased the naming rights for the stadium in 2019. It’s the fifth largest stadium in the NFL and sits one mile above sea level.

Getting to Empower Field at Mile High

The stadium is just west of downtown Denver and is visible from Interstate 25 as it loops around the city. To get to the stadium, take exit 211/23rd Avenue and Clay Street toward the mountains.

Traditions abound at Empower Field at Mile High

When the Denver Broncos play the opposing team, fans often chant, “IN-COM-PLETE!” or stomp their feet on the stadium’s metal floor during key defensive plays. These are traditions that were carried over from the Broncos’ old stadium, Mile High Stadium.

For concerts, the stadium’s Kentucky Bluegrass surface can host up to 60,000 screaming fans. The stadium also hosts big-name artists and events like monster truck Monster Jam and dirt bike AMA Supercross races.

New features and enhancements will be added to the stadium in the coming years. These include new video boards, premium hospitality areas, technology, concessions and the Broncos Team Store.

Some fans are excited about the changes, but others aren’t. They’re concerned about the price tag and the impact on the overall fan experience.

To keep Empower Field at Mile High safe and respectful, the stadium will work to promote a positive fan experience that respects individual rights. They’ll also continue to support initiatives that improve access for fans with disabilities.

The stadium will also have a better safety record thanks to new technology and security measures, and will be more environmentally friendly, with the use of solar energy and LED lighting. The new stadium will be certified as a LEED Gold building by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.

Another major change is that the south-end scoreboard will be expanded to 72 feet tall and 225 feet wide. This will make the scoreboard one of the largest in the league.

Other changes include improved restrooms, new fan amenities and the addition of a new VIP Pre-Game Tailgate area. These are all changes that will improve the stadium’s overall guest experience.
